That time of year! We aged the 2020s of Domaine des Cavarodes for a full year after receiving them, and we’re releasing a limited amount of 6-packs today.

Etienne Thiebaud makes pure wines in the northern realms of Jura, and all of his terroir-wines are made to be drunk. Vivacity, brightness and drinkability are what typifies his wines, and the 2020s are ready to go.

Please note: one pack per person, and pick-up only! All packs ordered for shipping will be cancelled. Available through the webshop now. Op = op!

Ma dai!!! The incredible wines of mastermind Fabio Gea are in, and we couldn’t be more excited.

The wines are just like Fabio, full of character, life and unbridled energy. We received new vintages of favorites like Grignòsca, Pinotto, DNAss, Onde Gravitazionali and Mushroom Panda, amongst others, but also added a new 100% Barbera (Green Palma), Falavòsca 2016 as well as his 60-month-élevage Barbaresco Riserva 2009 to the range. There’s also some punk-stuff we cannot speak about openly…

Good vibrations from Emilia-Romagna! We tasted the newly bottled wines by Podere Pradarolo in France a month ago, and confirmed that Claudia and Alberto produce wines of pure emotion.

We received their Indocilis Rosato, the long sui-lieviti Velius Rosato Metodo Classico, replenishments of the broad-shouldered and salty Velius Rosato 2019, as well as three vintages of their red Velius. Fifty Shades of Barbera, making us dream about the Emilian countryside.

Also, the new vintage of near-mythical Vej Bianco is available now. Maceration is shorter than in the previous vintage, but the range of frequency has broadened…

Although the team at Domaine Yvon Métras harvested only a small fraction of what they usually harvest due to grave weather circumstances, we decided to make a limited number of vintage 2021 3-packs available to private customers. The yields were microscopic, but the wines that were made are full of brightness, and we’re happy to share! The 3-packs contain a Beaujolais, a Printemps and the emblematic Fleurie, all 2021-vintage. Just in: orange Slovakian bliss! We just received

Just in: orange Slovakian bliss! We just received a shipment from Slobodne, and all the wines are showing tremendously. Lots of orange wines, from shorter macerations on aromatic varieties like Devin and Traminer, to broader and more muscular wines like Cutis Pinoter (!) and Eggstasy. The distinct mineral crispness and umami-layers are to be found across the range.

Above, a small selection of favorites we’re glad to have back in stock, like Supermajer and Deviner, with the addition of new cuvée Eggstasy, which is macerated Riesling aged in ovoid tanks… bomb! The picture of Katarina waving the transport goodbye is an eggcelent bonus, of course.

We’re back! The annual Loire wine fair-trip was

We’re back! The annual Loire wine fair-trip was fun, fruitful, eclectic and energizing, as always! We tasted new (and old!) vintages with lots of the Zuiver-producers, as well as with a number of new friends. Based on what we tasted, we know this year will be a good one. High quality, high energy.

Lots of moments weren’t captured, but there’s some evidence of tasting new wines with Léo Dirringer, as well as Louise and Zoé Puzelat, Tom of L’Absurde Génie des Fleurs and Claudia of Podere Pradarolo. Also, Franz Strohmeier’s wines were fantastic as always. Furthermore, we cooked food with our Steiermark friends, tasted 2021s with Michael of 2Naturkinder, Chenin’d and Aunis’d with JP and Noella, listened to stories of Vago Guniava (9th generation wine maker!) and took our first official group picture!

Important announcement! This weekend we will be in France, visiting nearly 10 wine fairs, and hopefully meeting more than 30 producers and winemaking friends we are working with, or will start working with this year!

Because of that, we will not process webshop orders between Thursday Feb 2 and Wednesday Feb 10.
Luckily, the shop WILL be open, but only between 1-5pm, instead of 1-6pm, from Thursday-Saturday.

Fresh Roussillonais purity has landed!

The always cheerful Marc Barriot has been making fresh and supple whites, aromatic oranges and forest-fruit-like reds in and around Maury close to the French Pyrenees for 15+ years, and we just received a fresh batch of flawless and affordable stunners.

Besides dry wines, Marc creates beautiful so-called VDN’s. These ‘vins doux naturels’ are fortified and aged in oxidative fashion, making them versatile bundles of joy and depth. Perfect to go with cheeses, artichokes, olives, anchovies or other tinned goods, at aperitif-hour. Channel your inner French Catalan-side! Multiple vintages of his Maury Rancio’s and Tuilé’s are available now.
