About the winemaker
Archil Guniava’s cellar and vineyards are located in the village of Kveda Kvaliti, in the Imereti region of central-western Georgia. For generations, the Guniava family has managed their vines naturally, and since 2011, it’s Archil who has been carrying on the family’s legacy as the artisan winemaker.

About the vineyard
The vineyards cover approximately 1.5 hectares, lying at 300 metres above sea level. Here, the climate is shaped by the influence of the Black Sea just as the Mediterranean shapes the east coast of France creating an environment well suited to sustainable viticulture and distinctive, low-intervention wines.

About the wines
While the climate offers its own unmistakable stamp, Archil also chooses less skin contact than is customary in eastern Georgia. As a result, his wines often show remarkable freshness and softness (and, for some, greater approachability) than those from Kartli and Kakheti, but they remain thoroughly and unmistakably Georgian thanks to qvevri vinification.

Archil’s wines speak directly to natural wine enthusiasts seeking Georgian authenticity, but they’re just as inviting for any wine lover eager to discover truly pure Georgian wines without having to navigate overwhelming structure or intensity.
