About the winemaker
Carussin traces its roots back to 1927, when the family planted their first four hectares between Nizza Monferrato and Canelli, right in the heart of Piemonte. All 15 hectares of vines are now organically farmed, with biodynamic winemaking principles firmly in place. Today, Bruna Ferro, together with her sons Matteo and Luca, runs this small-scale winery as a genuine family affair, bringing a deeply personal touch to every vintage.

About the vineyard
Barbera and Moscato take centre stage in the family vineyards, but Piemonte natives like Nebbiolo and Grignolino are also lovingly cultivated. The organic vineyards have been certified for over twenty years and lovingly maintained with biodynamic methods, making Carussin stand out among European natural wine producers. In the cellar, the philosophy is equally low-intervention: fermentations are spontaneous, and nothing is removed or added unless absolutely essential. This commitment to sustainable viticulture and artisan winemaking gives each wine remarkable personality there’s always an unmistakeable Piemonte earthiness, but also a lively, fresh energy clearly stamped with the Carussin identity.

About the wines
Carussin’s range is a study in contrasts: the wines are expressive and full of aroma, yet always easy to drink. Each wine delivers its own unmistakable character, making for a diverse tasting experience. Tra L’Alto, for example, bursts with a striking blossom perfume, while Sisto is one of the purest, earthiest Nebbiolos we’ve encountered in years. Carussin gives you a taste of Piemonte’s tradition seen through the lens of a true low-intervention producer.
